Julie
Front Desk
Julie has been in the dental field for over 30 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge to our practice. She has worked with countless dental insurance companies and is excellent at maximizing patients’ benefits. She has also taken patient care courses. Her favorite part of her job is being able to help patients in any way she can because she believes that everyone deserves to be treated like family.
Julie grew up in Colorado with her four siblings, and as a kid, you could always find her working at her dad’s apartment complexes and traveling around in their family’s RV. Today, she has been happily married for over 30 years and has two grown sons who are still in Colorado, but she’s trying to get them to move closer. Together, they love music and going to live concerts. Over the years, she’s met some amazing musicians!
Jessica
Dental Hygienist
Jessica is our experienced dental hygienist at Highland West Dental Care. The best part of her job is building relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable during their visits. For her, it’s always great to see familiar faces and know she’s helping them maintain a healthy smile! She attended Ohio University and went to Austin Community College for hygiene school.
Jessica is originally from Centerville, Ohio. Family is very important to her, so you can always find her spending time with her mom or brother, or her in-laws! She enjoys spending the holidays with her family in West Texas who own a ranch, helping take care of the cattle, and enjoying the ranch life. Outside of the office, you can find her pursuing her new hobby of learning how to figure skate or going to Pilates classes. An interesting fact about Jessica is that she used to be an intern at the Sea Turtle Hospital at the Charleston South Carolina Aquarium, where she would help with research into endangered sea turtles!
Mary
Registered Dental Assistant
Mary has over 30 years of experience in the dental field, with many of them spent right here at Highland West Dental Care. She loves being able to directly assist Dr. Pevzner during procedures, ensuring patient comfort by helping them feel relaxed throughout their visit. She also loves working with the best dental team in Austin! She attended CDM College and has her X-ray and CPR certifications.
Originally from Clinton, Oklahoma, Mary lives in Austin with her husband, two wonderful sons, and granddaughter. She loves spending time with her family in her free time, including her two sisters. Most weekends, you can find her helping her husband sell his art at Market Square in San Antonio, babysitting her granddaughter, going to church, and baking and cooking. She loves experimenting with cooking different cuisines and trying out new dishes!
Idalia
Registered Dental Assistant
Idalia is one of our experienced dental assistants. She loves having the time to prioritize her patients, making them feel well-cared for, and working as a team with Dr. Pevzner and the rest of the staff.
Idalia is from Austin and grew up in the area with her two siblings, who she loves spending time with. In her free time, you can find her going on walks and going to the gym.
